Peaceful Idyllic Mountain Getaway Overlooking Lake Brienz

Unfortunately, the little beginners' ski resort Axalp doesn't have much to offer when it comes to Apres-Ski. During the day you can stop in at the Hilten/Chrutmettli restaurant on the red Horbigen trail (Nr. 6) for a hearty Swiss meal, or enjoy some very reasonably-priced drinks at the ski hut above the base terminal of the Windegg triple chair lift. Apart from the Alphüttli, there is also a small bar at the hotel Chemihüttli. A few nice restaurants can also be found in the area. But if its discos or loud apres-ski spots you're looking for, Axalp is not the place for you. Those wanting to party at night will have to head to Meiringen, Brienz or Interlaken down in the valley.
