Andermatt is known among freeriders for its pristine powder grounds! When snowcover is good Anermatt is the perfect destination for snow seekers who are eager to hit the ungroomed terrain with their extra broad freeride skis.
The best sub area for expert skiers and riders is „Gemsstock“. The area around „Nätschen“ and „Gütsch“ is also recommendable to all those who seek some challenge. This area however can only be reached by ski shuttle commuting every 30 minutes. All in all "Andermatt" is definitely worth a day-trip for expert skiers!
