Haus Idyll is located in the beautiful and quiet high mountain valley of Bodental at 1030 meters above the sea level. Haus Idyll offers two self-catered apartments at competitive prices!

Edelweiss Apartment (57m2)

This is a self-catering apartment on the upper floor. The apartment has two bedrooms with large, comfortable beds; two en suite bathrooms with showers; fully equipped kitchen; sunny balcony and large roof terrace.

Edelstein Apartment (44m2)

This is a self-catering apartment on the lower ground floor. The apartment has a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a bathroom and a lounge with kitchen and dining area. Guests can also access the garden, the terrace at the front of the house, as well as the wooden garden hut.

Please note: Each apartment is rented as a whole. We do not rent separate rooms. Both apartments are rented separately.

Both apartments are self-catered with fully equipped kitchen. We do not provide food. If you don't want to cook at the apartment, there are three restaurants in our village and a small shop selling essentials. The town of Ferlach is 15 minutes' drive down the mountain with its restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, banks, post office, pharmacy, doctor etc.

Plenty of sunshine in the balcony and garden. There are swimming lakes about 20 min. drive away.

Bodental offers countless all year round hiking trails for all levels, long cross country skiing routes, family ski slope and idyllic nature including turquoise Sea Eye pond (Meerauge) and the Fairytale Meadow (Märchenwiese). Within a short drive are lakes with beaches, the Old Loibl mountain pass, the incredible Tscheppaschlucht gorge with an impressive waterfall, and the charming town of Klagenfurt (capital of the Austrian province of Carinthia) with a variety of attractions for the whole family. There are also plenty of interesting places to see within one hour drive, including Slovenia and Italy.

Winter sports: family friendly ski field (1km easy, 1km medium), snowboard & ski school, equipment rental, cross country skiing, snowshoes walking, winter Nordic walking, sleigh.

The ski field is ideal for children.

The most convenient option is to have your own car. 

If you're flying here, the recommended airport is Ljubljana Airport (LJU) in Slovenia, 50 min. drive away, where you can rent a car at a reasonable price. Klagenfurt Airport (KLU) in Austria, 40 min. drive away may also be an option.

Public transport is a possibility, although connections are very limited.
