The Cross-Country Area

Snowbasin grooms and maintains 26 km of Nordic trails. Suitable for both skating and classic style Nordic skiing, one can wind through beautiful glades and meadows under towering mountain peaks. The trails start near the Olympic Parking Lot, where Nordic trail users may park, or utilize our free shuttle service from the Day Skier Lot. There is no charge for Snowbasin's Nordic trails, the trails are for outdoor enthusiasts of all abilities looking for an alternative way to experience our mountain.

For starter trails, choose between the Stadium, the Meadows Loop or Maples Loop. For longer and more aggressive tours, head towards the Old Road to the Basin or Outback trails. Several additional kilometers of more difficult trails are maintained by the U.S. Forest Service which branch off of the Old Road to the Basin trail. For more information about those trails, visit the Ogden Ranger District's website or call (801) 236-3400.

The Grizzly Center, located in the Main Plaza, offers full rental packages, including traditional/diagonal and skating skis. Snowshoe rentals are also available.
