Trail Map Oberhof Ski Hall

The Cross-Country Area

Kevin Voigt

Germany’s first cross-country skiing and biathlon hall is located in Oberhof in the state of Thuringia. A varied trail almost two kilometres in length is available for both professionals and amateur enthusiasts to enjoy. With uphill sections and descents of up to twelve percent gradient and a constant ambient temperature of -4 °C, the DKB Ski Hall offers ideal training conditions and fun on the trails all year round. Whether you’re a pro or a greenhorn, this place is like an oasis for cross-country fans.

There is also plenty of space for families with children to try out narrow skis for the first time. The shooting gallery is a unique feature, the addition of which makes it the world’s first biathlon hall which can be used all year round. Four shooting galleries allow biathlon enthusiasts to train with small calibre weapons and air guns.

If you decide to visit the ski hall on a whim, the integrated sports shop has the full kit for hire or available to buy. Alternatively, if you are bringing your own kit, you can have your skis grinded and waxed here. Inexperienced skiers can look forward to instruction and schooling from trained DSV ski instructors from the cross-country ski school Sport Luck (with prior reservation).
