The Cross-Country Area

Hotham and Dinner Plain has over 35km of trails, with circuits ranging in length from 2km to 15km.
Some trails start straight from Hotham village, or you can take the free village shuttle bus to Wire Plain, the starting point for most courses. Other trails start around Dinner Plain. Something for everyone!

Cross country skiing makes up an active and integral part of the identity of Hotham and Dinner Plain. The infamous Pub to Pub race sees around 100 competitors ski the 11 kilometres from The General Store at Hotham down to the Dinner Plain Hotel.

Hotham is also the location of Australia´s only biathlon range, home of olympic athletes in training and defence force events.

Best of all there are no trail fees for cross-country skiing at the resort. Crosscountry skis can be hired at Hoys Dinner Plain. Phone 03 5759 2589.
