Steg is a small time-honored hamlet of alpine huts with 50 inhabitants at 1'300 m/4'265 ft above sea level. It is the ideal place to relax and enjoy nature. The cross-country paradise is characterized by its pristine beauty. There are four different types of tracks available including a night track.

- Average snow depth during the season is 98 cm at summit elevation and 59 cm at base elevation. Snow coverage is usually best during February, offering an average snow depth of 122 cm at summit elevation and 72 cm at the base.
