The Cross-Country Area
Surrounded by a magnificent mountain world, the cross-country skiing trails in Hohentauern delights both beginners and professionals. A permanently snow-covered central trail (approx. 2.5 kilometres) in the area of the trail centre promises pure cross-country skiing pleasure.
The trails, which have been awarded the Styrian cross-country skiing seal of approval, allow classic cross-country skiing as well as skating. Since the cross-country trails were designed according to the findings of sports physicians, there are suitable trails for all ability groups.
If you want to learn cross-country skiing or improve your technique, you can take part in one of the courses at the ski school. Suitable equipment for children and adults is available in the on-site shop and rental.

- The cross-Country skiing area takes you to an elevation of 1,189 m.
- Average snow depth during the season is 45 cm at summit elevation and 29 cm at base elevation. Snow coverage is usually best during February, offering an average snow depth of 60 cm at summit elevation and 44 cm at the base.
