The Cross-Country Area
In Flachau and the surrounding area 260 km of perfectly prepared tracks are waiting for you. The Nordic sport will give you a special feeling for your body, snow and nature. Your fitness will really take off!
The Most Beautiful Tracks
For beginners
If you want to start slowly then try the Reitdorf loop as a starter or go in direction to Wagrain (0.5 km). Here you can unhurriedly practice the right technique and as well as the overtaking and braking.
More easy routes are the Sonnenloipe in Neuberg (4 km) or the Moadörfl-Loipe (3.2 km). The small round of the Höhenloipe Rossbrand (2 kilometers) promises magnificent views.
Runs for advanced
Sporty cross-country skiers can choose from a variety of challenging cross-country ski trails. The shorter routes include the 3-kilometer Ostloipe Kleinarl, the 5.5-kilometer-long Wagrain-Kleinarl-Loipe or the 5.5-kilometer-long Jägerseeloipe. A little more endurance demand the Höhenloipe Rossbrand (17 km) as well as the Flachauwinkl-Loipe (18 km).
The conditionally challenging slope to Zauchensee (10.5 km) and the 6.1 kilometer-long Gnadenalm cross-country ski runs are also very popular.
Lighted Night Cross-Country Slopes
For people who like to go in the dark for a cross country trip we can recommend the night cross country slope in Neuberg (1.3 km) or in Radstadt (2 km). This track is nearby the restaurant "Zum Kaswurm" where you can go after your workout to enjoy the end of the day.
Highlight: the Tauern-Cross-Country slope
If you really want to push yourself then we recommend the 60 km long Tauern loop. The easy to medium, but still challenging route connects the ski resorts of Radstadt, Altenmarkt, Flachau, Wagrain and Eben. The course can be run in several stages and both styles. Entry possibilities are available in each of the resorts.
