The Cross-Country Area
The Chamrousse winter sports area is located near Grenoble. The trails have different requirements, so that they are suitable for beginners as well as for professionals. In addition to almost 40 kilometres of trails, Chamrousse also offers a ski school, equipment rental and a biathlon shooting range.
Interesting facts
- The cross-Country skiing area takes you to an elevation of 1,693 m.
- Average snow depth during the season is 111 cm at summit elevation and 62 cm at base elevation. Snow coverage is usually best during March, offering an average snow depth of 134 cm at summit elevation and 71 cm at the base. Therefore Chamrousse is among the 5 cross-Country Skiing Areas with best snow conditions in France.
