In Wagrain, our Aparthotel Steger is located in the middle of Ski amadé, the largest ski region in Austria. With one lift pass you can ski on 760 kilometres of slopes. From that there are nearly 35 kilometres of the best-prepared slopes in Wagrain.
Beginners and those who ski for fun get their moneys worth, just the same as the sporty ski aces do, who want to go up against the steep slopes.
Children and beginners experience the first skiing days in WAGRAINI’s winter world. Tips and tricks are passed on playfully from qualified ski instructors.

Diverse circular hiking routes, panorama tours and family hiking paths mean that there is something for everybody, at all different levels. It does not matter whether you are a leisurely walker or a gifted mountaineer – the hiking region of Wagrain-Kleinarl offers the very best conditions.
Guided tours with your hosts: upon request we will be happy to guide you on your hike and to show you the nicest places. Or would like to spend some time together as a couple? We can take your children on a relaxing walk in the surrounding countryside.
At the warmest time of the year, the Wagrain lift operators invite you to “take the summer lift up,“ make the ascent easier and take the summer lift up to the summit. Thereby making it easier to conquer the more demanding and more distant hiking routes with the whole family. The following lifts are open for you in the summer:

You can also explore the area by bike or mountain bike. A biking route goes straight past the house and is therfore ideal for biking tours with the family. For real adrenalin junkies, there is the Mountain bike park Wagrain, with exciting downhill tours and the best thing about it is that the hard climb up falls by the wayside, as there is a gondela that takes you to the top. With various jumps and obstacles, there is everything there that you need for a great ride.
You can hire bikes for children and adults, as well as suitable helmets, on-site and free of charge! We offer storage for your bikes and mountain bikes, so that they are secure and well looked after. For our smallest guests, we also have a bike trailer with helmet, so that nothing stands in the way of a bike tour for the whole family.

WAGRAINI´s Grafenberg - Family excursions in the mountains
The Grafenberg cable railway takes you up the mountain to a height of 1,709 metres above sea level. Once at the top, the adventure begins: 30 stations wait to be discovered by the children. With different themes and nature trails, crossing the mountain lake on a raft, the Hachau slide, the low rope course, the swing forest or the climbing-boulder wall means that boredom will not make an appearance. At the same time, the children learn many interesting facts about the Austrian animal and plant world.
What makes it even more special is that WAGRAINi’s mountain and world of experiences on the Grafenberg is also easily accessible with a pushchair.

Football pich and archery range - right next to the house
Directly next to Aparthotel Steger are various possibilities in which to spend a day’s holiday in Wagrain.
At a football tournament on the football pitch next door, go up against fellow companions and enjoy a few hours of sport.
Whoever is in the mood can try out archery and can compete at the tournament with bow and arrow. The archery range is right next to Aparthotel Steger. In the hunting tournaments the very best archer is determined. Our hunting course consists of 9 targets and is only a few minutes walk away from the house.
Swimming pool - to splash around it and let steam off
Refresh yourself in the swimming pool on a hot summers’ day and indulge in the warm summer weather of the Wagrain mountains. Enjoy the wonderful panoramic view when swimming or whilst relaxing on the lawn. In summer you have direct access to the sauna. Of course there is something there for our small guests to splash around in.
Spacious outdoor area - a paradise for children
Boredom – will certainly not occur here! With the wide assortment of games at Aparthotel Steger, one can find all sorts to play with in the sunny garden, for example a play tower with slide, swing, climbing elements and boulder wall, trampoline and a fenced off area for a campfire.
