Ski Review 2025/2026: All Mountain Skis

If you love versatility and want to be prepared for any situation, All Mountain Skis are the perfect solution. These all-rounders handle groomed slopes just as confidently as ungroomed snow at the edge of the piste or choppy slopes in the afternoon. All-mountain models from the most well-known ski brands were tested at the World Ski Test 2025/2026. We'll show you which skis impressed the testers.

The free spirits among skiers

All Mountain Skis represent freedom and maximum versatility like no other category. They are made for those who do not want to – or do not have to – choose. Whether fresh powder snow, slushy spring slopes, grippy morning slopes or rough terrain: these skis master every challenge with flying colours.

With waist widths between 82 and 88 millimetres, the models tested offer strong all-round performance, optimised power transfer, smooth stability and precise control thanks to sophisticated technology and geometry. Their wider waist width, dynamic sidecut and balanced flex provide perfect edge grip on the piste, but also good float in soft snow. In short, they are the perfect companion for a day of skiing full of variety and – if desired – the occasional adrenaline rush.

The podium was fiercely contested

The tests were carried out exclusively on the slopes in ideal conditions in the Hohe Tauern National Park region in the idyllic Heiligenblut-Großglockner ski area. The results speak for themselves: The podium places were hotly contested – which is why this time five models instead of three share the podium! Behind the test winner Völkl and the runner-up Atomic, Salomon, Kästle and Nordica share the bronze medal.

Target group: sporty to highly sporty skiers, leisure skiers, piste & off-piste fans.
