Product Summary
The ski in details
For women looking for a sporty, playful, fatigue-free day exploring the entire mountain, in all conditions.
This season, the new Shine 78 is the ideal option for female all-mountain skiers who prioritize fun on the slopes without compromising on comfort. Fast, agile, and eager to turn, it performs best in mixed to compact conditions on moderate slopes, showcasing maximum versatility.
The newly installed Multilayer Woodcore, part of the redesign, ensures lower weight and additional pop. Switching from the foam core of the previous model to a full wood core enhances the ski's sportiness, provides more stability at higher speeds, and is also a significant step towards greater sustainability. Thanks to the 3D Radius Sidecut, the Shine 78 now impresses with outstanding agility, bringing a smile to the faces of those who love short, crisp turns.
With the proven Lowride Integrated Binding System, the Shine 78 now also offers a wide, lightweight, and lower binding that further improves agility in tight turns and reduces effort when stepping in, thanks to the TCX heel unit. Identical in construction to its larger siblings Peregrine 80 and 82, the system was used for the first time on a ski under 80 mm. The direct integration into the wood core also ensures improved power transmission from the binding to the ski.
Technologies
3D Multilayer Woodcore
Steel Band
A steel band in the ski provides very good durability, controlled flex and smooth skiing in faster speeds.
3D Radius Sidecut
Three radii in one ski for maximum turning & speed versatility in All Mountain skiing long Tip & Tail radius. Usage of long radii at tip and tail for big turns and high speed.
Full Sidewall ABS
ABS is a durable and resilient plastic known for its strength and impact resistance. It offers high resistance to shocks and impacts, making the ski more robust and long-lasting. These sidewalls allow for precise power transfer from the skier to the edges of the ski.
3D.GLASS
Compared to classic glass constructions the three-dimensional and multiple-folded glass layers in the tip and in the tail area result in an increased edge grip and a more vivid rebound behavior in turns.
Glass Frame
The Glass Frame offers a wide range of skiers effortless access to dynamics and sportiness while serving stability and shock absorbtion in the shovel and tail area of the ski.
Base P-Tex 2100
A sintered high-density and high molecular polyethylene base with great gliding characteristics and high durability.
Serial Finish
Tip & Tail Rocker
Character: Bends up only in the shovel and tail zones, with a camber shape in the middle.
