Völkl Racetiger SC (Slalom Ski 2021/2022)

Product Summary

This ski is just right for good skiers. Stable but not overpowering. This stiff-tailed ski is designed for perfect grip on-piste. It is best not to leave the groomed runs with this ski. The ski is available from 150 to 170cm. The skis handle like slalom race skis. Perfect edge hold and a small radius ranging from 34.45 ft to 45.6 ft make them the first choice for short turns.

The ski in details

The high-tech slalom racer

The Racetiger SC with tip rocker is built for super-fast and agile turns while still providing lots of riding comfort. This impressive combination is made possible by the integration of the UVO 3D, 3D.Glass, Powered by Steel and sidecuts with carefully aligned flex and tip geometries. The UVO significantly dampens the vibration of the ski. The 3D.Glass construction features fibreglass layers that run three dimensionally over the ski instead of the usual horizontal-only webbing. This allows more pop as well as a sharp edge change and reliable edge grip.

The GripWalk-compatible vMotion 3 binding reliably transfers the full power from the boot to the ski.

The Racetiger SC is available in yellow and black.

Technologies

UVO 3D: UVO is the first freely rotating, vibration damper to apply cutting-edge vibration dampening technology in order to minimize disruptive ski vibration. The terrain below the ski inevitably generates vibrations, which in turn set the shovel into motion. This significantly disrupts the smoothness of the ski-ride, and makes it harder to hold an edge. The revolutionary UVO technology works against this, through proven dampening in the form of reduced vibrations in the horizontal and vertical directions as well as along the length of the ski.

3D.GLASS: 3D.GLASS is Völkl’s development to furthermore improve overall ski performance and stability even in critical snow conditions. Compared to classic glass constructions the three-dimensional and multiple-folded glass layers in the tip and in the tail area result in an increased edge grip and a more vivid rebound behavior in turns.

Full Sensor Woodcore: The full sensor construction features hard wood in the binding area but - contrary to the speedwall wood core - under the screws and in the outer areas a lighter wood. This results in a very sporty and agile skiing characteristics.

Powered by Steel: A steel layer in the ski provides very good durability, controlled flex and smooth skiing in faster speeds.

Full Sidewall / Mini Cap: Full sidewall construction with mini cap overlapping to provide best durability.
