Product Summary
The ski in details
Ultra-agile, high-tech all-mountain racer with outstanding versatility
With the new Peregrine 72 Master an unbeatable combination of World Cup and All Mountain technologies is added to its segment leading lineup. From instructors to former racers, this model is the choice for experienced skiers who are looking for a thoroughbred designed to handle and perform on icy and hard race-like conditions. The Peregrine 72 Master offers the precision, dynamics and reliability of a racing ski combined with an extraordinarily versatile turn radii. For the first time Völkl is using its 3D Radius Sidecut Technology in a ski under 80 mm underfoot. The result is a ski that provides a wide range of turn shapes that skiers can effortlessly transition in and out of depending on terrain and conditions. Like at the WC models, the Peregrine 72 Master integrates real World Cup technology with World Cup-Base and Phenol Sidewalls, which together ensure smoothness and precision. Completing the package is a Tailored Torsion Woodcore. The ash wood core, the same used in Völkl’s World Cup skis, combines the different characteristics of rod and laminated wood in an innovative design that provides dynamic stability and reliability, which results in additional grip and feel, especially on hard surfaces. For additional precision, direct tip response and improved overall experience, the ski is supported by Tailored Carbon Tips.
Technologies
Tailored Torsion Woodcore
Tailored Carbon Tips
In this innovative manufacturing process the new Tailored Carbon Tips are produced by embroidering the individual carbon fibers onto a carrier material. This allows them to be positioned exactly along the stress lines, opening up completely new possibilities, for performance at the front of the ski, which has a decisive influence on the handling of the ski.
Full Titanal
The titanium setup makes the ski agile and dynamic. Especially friends of a hard, fast and aggressive riding style benefit from the quick response of this construction.
3D Radius Sidecut
Three radii in one ski for maximum turning & speed versatility in All Mountain skiing long Tip & Tail radius. Usage of long radii at tip and tail for big turns and high speed.
Full Sidewall Phenol
The special surface structure in combination with the material composition reduces icing because it allows the snow to simply slide off. This leads to a drastic reduction in weight during use up to 20 - 30%. Thanks to the lighter skis, long and steep assents can be better managed.
3D.GLASS
Compared to classic glass constructions the three-dimensional and multiple-folded glass layers in the tip and in the tail area result in an increased edge grip and a more vivid rebound behavior in turns.
Carbon Band
The carbon setup creates the best possible combination of light weight, great durability and sporty riding characteristics.
Base P-Tex 4504
A sintered, ultra-high molecular polyethylene base with an extremely high density. Besides a great wear resistance and perfect wax absorption the P-Tex 4504 is extremely fast.
Zebra Structure
Serial Finish
Tip & Tail Rocker
Character: Bends up only in the shovel and tail zones, with a camber shape in the middle.
Marker WorldCup Plate
High-speed racing like the pros. Thanks to Piston Control, an integrated hydraulic oil piston, even the smallest bit of energy is converted into speed. Of course the interface is compatible with the Race X-cell bindings.
