The Flair SC Carbon offers a marvellous combination of technical carving ingenuity and playful lightweight performance. The carbon setup within the ski gives it an unparalleled liveliness and durability with minimal weight. The glass layers of the 3D.Glass construction, especially in the tip and tail, increase edge grip and provide a powerful (aka: fun) rebound from turn to turn. The full sidewall design gives the Flair SC Carbon a platform that is equally playful and stable. The subtle tip rocker helps initiate turns quickly and near effortlessly. Adding Völkl’s signature UVO 3D technology not only dampens vibrations, especially at higher speeds, but also aids in the ski’s overall lightness. The Flair SC is wonderfully dynamic without making you work too hard for the singular delight that is a carving turn.

UVO 3D
UVO is the first freely rotating, vibration damper to apply cutting-edge vibration dampening technology in order to minimize disruptive ski vibration. The terrain below the ski inevitably generates vibrations, which in turn set the shovel into motion. This significantly disrupts the smoothness of the ski-ride, and makes it harder to hold an edge. The revolutionary UVO technology works against this, through proven dampening in the form of reduced vibrations in the horizontal and vertical directions as well as along the length of the ski.

TAILORED CARBON TIPS
In this innovative manufacturing process the new Tailored Carbon Tips are produced by embroidering the individual carbon fibers onto a carrier material. The stiffness, torsion and thus the skiing characteristics can be specifically adjusted via the fiber thickness and millimeter-precise alignment. In this way, the fibers guide the dynamics to the areas of the ski where they are needed. The visibly integrated Tailored Carbon Tips are light, allow an agile shovel reaction with less effort and quickly build up energy. The Tailored Carbon Tips thus reach a new level of precision, direct tip response and active skiing pleasure.

3D.GLASS
3D.GLASS is Völkl’s development to furthermore improve overall ski performance and stability even in critical snow conditions. Compared to classic glass constructions the three-dimensional and multiple-folded glass layers in the tip and in the tail area result in an increased edge grip and a more vivid rebound behavior in turns.

MULTILAYER WOODCORE LITE
The combination of light beech and poplar results in a very durable woodcore composed of hard wood in the binding area and - due to its dedicated slots - lighter wood around.

POWERED BY CARBON
The carbon setup creates the best possible combination of light weight, great durability and sporty riding characteristics.

At the 2022/2023 WorldSkitest the skis in the category „Ladies High Performance“ were closely evaluated at Silvretta Montafon.
