Völkl Blaze 114 (Powder Ski 2023/2024)

Product Summary

The Völkl Blaze 114's full retail price is €700. The Ski costs roughly €20 more than the average price of all Powder Skis, making it an upper mid-range model. Skilled skiers will enjoy both relaxed cruising and pushing the ski to its limit. The Blaze 114 is a pure freeride ski. Riding on groomers is no problem but due to its fairly wide waist the ski has a strong bias towards powder runs. Available lengths for the ski are ranging between 176 and 192cm. This ski is a real cruiser and loves long turns. With a radius from 17 m to 20 m (depending on the lengh of the ski) you shouldn't expect too much in short turns.

The ski in details

The sustainable freeride adventure ski at it's best.

To cut to the chase: The Blaze 114 is as wide as its range of use. In addition, it is also produced in an environmentally friendly way. Völkl uses a recycled base and only FSC-certified wood in combination with the new Green Core technology. The Isocore inside the wood core is made of recycled PET bottles instead of the conventional PU foam. When it comes to riding performance, the Blaze 114 is destined for off-piste adventures. Thanks to its efficient weight-performance ratio, it is also quite suitable as a freeride touring ski. But it really comes to life on the downhill. The rather narrow 18 m radius in relation to a ski length of 192 cm delivers a maneuverability previously unknown in this category.
