Scott Superguide 95 (Backcountry Touring Ski 2020/2021)

Product Summary

The Scott Superguide 95 is the perfect tool during both downhill rides and steep ascents. Thanks to its low weight, the ski is easy to master even on longer trips. The Scott Superguide 95's full retail price is 599,95 €. The Ski is roughly 10 € cheaper than the average price of all Backcountry Touring Skis, making it a mid-range model. Effortless to ride at all speeds, this ski is just right for all intermediate skiers. The Superguide 95 is a more off-piste oriented ski which rides great in deep powder. Thanks to its versatility however, it is also fun on groomers from time to time. Available lengths for the ski are ranging between 162 and 184cm.

The ski in details

The Superguide is iconic, and this updated model keeps all the freeride DNA of the original, with added touring performance. An all-new lightweight yet playful Paulownia/Beech core with Carbon/Aramid reinforcement keeps the ski light and agile yet even more hard-charging. Adding an updated 3Dimension Touring Sidecut ensures the ski is stable on the ascent and ready to let loose on the way down – whether that’s turning on a dime when things get technical, or opening it up on those long, fast descents.

Technologies

  • Pro-Tip Rocker 320: Combining a progressive shape with increased tip height and radius creates Pro-Tip Rocker. SCOTT's Pro-Tip provides a more versatile and forgiving ski no matter the conditions.
  • Dual Light Core: The Dual light core featuring a new Paulownia/ Beech wood core that ensures a stable, strong and well-dampened ride.
  • Full Ski Length Wood Core: The Full-Length Wood Core produces a more consistent ski flex and creates a homogeneous transition between middle part and rockered tip and tail.
  • 3Dimension Touring Sidecut: This revolutionary sidecut design combines a tip and tail with either a central flat line or a small amount of sidecut under foot. The tip and tail radii allow for easy turn initiation while the flat line (freeski) or a larger radius (all conditions) provides stability, power and precise edge hold. This power design has earned accolades in the form of Winter X-Games Gold Medals and multiple ski test awards.
  • Factory Finish: SCOTT skis come direct from the factory ready to ski with SCOTT’s Factory Finish. Factory Finish offers an effective edge angle of 88°, resulting from a 3° side and 1° base angle for an exceptional performance. The base is finished with a micro structured CNC stone grind so you can mount your skis and hit the hill, no tuning required.
  • Scott Hook Skin Fixation System
  • Sandwich Sidewall Semi-Elliptic Construction
  • Carbon /Aramid Fibers
