Revolution in the skiing experience: The Ibex Tactix is an innovative approach to equipment built to move easily, deploy tactically, and perform under pressure in unique, adventurous situations.
Traditional ski equipment poses many limitations for easy transportation and tactical applications during adventures in the mountains. In order to improve the transport of skis across snow, rocks and other mixed terrain, Elan created a foldable ski with high-end ski performance and zero limitations of movement. It easily attaches to a pack quickly and securely.
To achieve this design feat, Elan took the Ibex skis, cut them in half and connected them with a revolutionary folding mechanism that is built on a fixed aluminum plate that rotates 180 degrees and disassembles a 163cm length ski to a 90cm length ski in less than 20 seconds for easy transport. Furthermore, the performance benefits of the plate make the skis easier and more reliable to ski.
