Dynastar M-Tour 90 (Backcountry Touring Ski 2022/2023)

Product Summary

Due to its lighweight construction the Dynastar M-Tour 90 is easy to handle not only downhill but also during longer ascents. The Dynastar M-Tour 90's full retail price is € 620. The Ski costs roughly € 10 more than the average price of all Backcountry Touring Skis, making it an upper mid-range model. The ski is very smooth and forgiving. It's the perfect tool for intermediate skiers. The M-Tour 90 is a more off-piste oriented ski which rides great in deep powder. Thanks to its versatility however, it is also fun on groomers from time to time. The ski is available from 157 to 185cm.

The ski in details

Easy and agile on the ascent.

Powerful, precise, and fun on the ride down. The new M-TOUR 90 is purpose-built for setting skin tracks and hunting untracked lines. Its Hybrid Core blends paulownia wood and polyurethane for a light yet smooth feel. Sandwich construction and full sidewalls translate to a confident feel through mixed backcountry terrain and snow conditions.

Technologies

HYBRID CORE

Our best solution for a unique on-snow feeling: blending the performance of wood with the lightness and smooth snow feel of PU.

HYBRID CORE PAULOWNIA PU
The Hybrid Core technology is combined with Pawlownia Core with a density of 300 g/m3, reducing the ski's weight by an average of 15 to 20% in comparison to a poplar core.

SANDWICH FULL SIDEWALL CONSTRUCTION
With the FULL SIDEWALL construction, full-length vertical edges from tip to tail help maximize grip, precision, balance and power.

SINTERED HD BASE
SINTERED HD BASE offers great glide for all ski conditions.

DIRECTIONNAL ROCKER
Long tip and tail rocker limited in height. Offering the optimum ratio height / length, the ski flies over the powder and keep its grip on hard snow.

ADAPTATIV SIDECUTS
Adaptativ Sidecut offers a smooth transition between sidecut underfoot and the tip and tail geometry. This technology brings smoothness on hard and powder snow.

FIBERGLASS TORSION BOX
The fiberglass torsion box is a technology used on M-Line Range. The wood part of the hybrid Core is surrounded by a Fiberglass. It brings vertical reinforcement enhancing the comfort of the skiers and the on-snow feeling.

UNIDIRECTIONNAL FIBERGLASS
Focus on Sustainability and Performance.
Unidirectional Fiberglass construction reduces the use of composite fiber in favor of natural fiber use for a reduced environmental impact while improving ski performance.

Ski review Dynastar M-Tour 90

At the 2022/2023 WorldSkitest the skis in the category „Touring Men 2 - 90 to 97mm“ were closely evaluated. Tester’s opinion: "We are also a bit confused with the low rating of “Dynastar". Our testers attested the "M-Tour 90" had potential for improvement, especially when it came to running smoothness. The handling of the skins could keep up with the competition and was rated very good. Maybe the preparation of the ski wasn't optimal, so try our recommendation here and decide for yourself." - Bronze medal in SnowStyle
