Enjoy Great Food and Perfect Slopes

Powder, dream slopes and culinary indulgences – you can find all that in South Tyrol. The impressive mountains combined with the Italian way of life turn your ordinary vacation into something special. South Tyrol offers 30 skiing regions and almost all of them belong to one of the two big Ski Associations.

In the west you will find the Ortler Skiarena, which includes multiple smaller ski resorts. In the east everything is slightly bigger. The mega ski resort Dolomiti SuperSki offers 1.200 kilometers of trails (746 mi) and spreads out almost entirely over the Dolomite Mountains. Other world class ski resorts like Gröden-Val Gardena, Alta Badia or the Kronplatz are part of the association. A highlight is the so-called Sellaronda. This round-trip course is 26 kilometers (16 mi) long and leads you pass the Sella group.

In South Tyrol you will find that not only skiing is extraordinary but the food is as well. Savory bacon, “Knödel”(translated: dumplings) in all variations, aromatic herbs and most exquisite deserts are available for you here.

Many roads lead into the region of South Tyrol. From the North it is recommended you take the Brennerautobahn (highway) A22. If you travel by plane to either Innsbruck or Verona, you can reach the ski resorts with public transportation from there.
