The Ski Resort
At Usseln in the Sauerland four lifts with a total of 1.3 kilometres of slopes are available for skiing and snowboarding. They are distributed on the lift at Büller Höhe (200-300 m downhill), the Emmet lifts (200-300 m downhill) and the Kahler Pön ski lift (700 m downhill). The easy slopes are especially suitable for beginners of all ages.
In Usseln you will also find a ski school and a ski rental. Floodlit skiing is possible at Büller Höhe on Fridays from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and at Lift Kahler Pön on Saturdays from 6 p.m. to 9.30 p.m..
Not far from Usseln lies Willingen. There you will find a much larger ski area with the Winterpark.

- During the season the average snow depth at Usseln is 4 cm. Snow coverage is usually best during January, offering an average base depth of 4 cm.

Getting here
Coming from Kassel take the A44 until exit B251 direction Zierenberg/Korbach/Waldeck/Edersee/Wolfhagen. On the B251 you get directly to Usseln.
Coming from Dortmund, take the A44 to the motorway junction 54-Kreuz Werl, where you use the right lane to get onto the A445. You continue on the A46 until exit 71-Bestwig, where you get onto the B7. At Ochsenberg turn right onto Hauptstraße/B480. On the L743 you drive up to the B251, which you follow up to Usseln.
At the lift there are enough parking places where you can park your car for free.
