The slopes of Snow Space Salzburg can be covered with an impressive 100% technical snowmaking. According to the ski resort, the entire area can be covered with basic snow within about 72 hours if the temperature and humidity are optimal. The water required for this comes from storage ponds.
In principle, Snow Space Salzburg is not necessarily one of the highest ski areas in the Alps - so you can expect less natural snow here at times than elsewhere. However, the technical snowmaking makes up for the geographical conditions.
