The Ski Resort
Skeikampen Alpinsenter lies in the municipality of Gausdal, roughly 30 kilometres northwest of Lillehammer in southern Norway. With 21 kilometres of pistes across 21 runs and 11 lifts, it ranks among the 15 largest ski resorts in the country. A detachable eight-seater chairlift with weather hoods carries guests from the base to the 1,123-metre summit of Skeikampen — one of the highest peaks in the region. From the top, sweeping views stretch across the Jotunheimen and Rondane mountain ranges. The vertical drop is 363 metres and the longest run measures 2.5 kilometres. The offering ranges from wide family runs and mogul pistes to demanding black runs and off-piste terrain. A snow park and a large children's area with dedicated lifts and runs complete the picture.
