The Ski Resort
In the ski area Rieseralm skiing pleasure starts right on your doorstep. The wonderful natural landscape with the unique arolla pine forests offers a wonderful atmosphere for the winter holiday. Beginners feel comfortable especially on the blue slopes at the lifts I and II. Those who are already more confident on the boards will find red and black slopes at the lifts III and IV.
The Rieseralm is also the ideal starting point for ski tours in the Styrian Zirbenland. After an exhausting day on the slopes, the rustic huts invite you to an extensive stop for refreshments.
- The vertical drop from summit to base is 689 ft. The average difference in altitude between base and summit of Ski Resorts in Austria is 2372 ft. Runs and slopes are therefore relatively short. The highest point of the track is 4987 ft above sea level.
- Average snow depth during the season is 33 " at summit elevation and 25 " at base elevation. Snow coverage is usually best during February, offering an average snow depth of 37 " at summit elevation and 29 " at the base.
