- The vertical drop from summit to base is 520 m. The average difference in altitude between base and summit of Ski Resorts in Switzerland is 890 m. Runs and slopes are therefore relatively short. The highest point of the track is 2,270 m above sea level.
- Snow coverage is usually best during February, offering an average snow depth of 50 cm at summit elevation and 26 cm at the base.
The skiing area "Rothwald Wasenalp am Simon" offers you 25 km of well groomed slopes that are partly provided with artifical snowmaking facilities.

A special children´s lift „Pony“ is located at the mountain station right next to a cosy restaurant. Its sun terrace allows you to enjoy phenomenal views of the mountain panorama while letting your children romp around right next to you, always within your sight.
Besides the groomed pistes of Rothwald there is also a number of opportunities of off-piste skiing. Alternatively you may participate in organised skitours through the surrounding areas, all led by professional skiing instructors.
