The Ski Resort

Pizol ski resort sits in eastern Switzerland between the towns of Bad Ragaz and Wangs, spanning elevations from 510 to 2,250 metres. Twelve lifts serve around 50 kilometres of slopes and 31 runs, spread across the terrain between the St. Gallen Rhine Valley and the Pizol high plateau. One of the resort's biggest selling points: both base stations are just a few minutes' drive from the motorway exit – about as hassle-free as it gets.
Varied Terrain for Every Skill Level
From gentle nursery slopes to steep, challenging descents, Pizol has something for every ability. Beginners will find ideal conditions on the blue runs around Pardiel, where they can practise their first turns at a relaxed pace. Intermediate and advanced skiers are well catered for on the red and black runs up on the Pizol high plateau. The wide-open Zanuz and See-Egg runs are particular standouts – offering both great skiing and sweeping views across the Alps and the Rhine Valley. For the longest descent, start at the Pizolhütte above 2,200 metres and ride all the way down to Wangs – a continuous 1,700-metre vertical drop.
Families and Children at Pizol
Pizol is a great choice for families. The Kinderland at Pardiel is designed with younger skiers in mind, featuring practice lifts and playful elements that keep things fun throughout the day. The Heidi and Peter children's run takes kids past charming character figures – a real hit with the little ones. The Swiss Ski School Pizol offers lessons for all ages and abilities.
Funslope and Riderpark for Freestylers
Anyone looking for a change from regular piste skiing will enjoy the Riderpark Pizol. Snowboarders and freeskiers can work on their tricks across a range of lines and features. The Funslope adds to the mix with wave runs, banked turns and jumps – a crowd-pleaser for beginners and seasoned freestylers alike.
