Mürren- Schilthorn – the highest-elevated winter sport resort in the Bernese Oberland!

Intermediate and expert skiers as well as more advanced snowboarders in particular are certain to have a great time at the highest elevated winter sport resort (2970m) in the Bernese Oberland. A portion of the ten kilometers of black trails are extremely challenging even for the most athletic and ambitious skiers and snowboarders. Nice off-piste slopes and two groomed moguls are further attractions for more advanced winter athletes. The amateur „Inferno Races“ are a major highlight at Mürren-Schilthorn and take place every January. At the races, more than 1500 skiers from all over the world compete against each other in a 15km-long race from Schilthorn all the way down to Lauterbrunnen. Another positive aspect of the resort, is the fact that it is connected to two other ski areas – Grindelwald-First and Kleine Scheidegg-Männlichen (please see the corresponding test reports on our website), which can also be used by visitors to Mürren-Schilthorn. So even you are planning a longer stay in the Jungfrau region of the Bernese Oberland, you are guaranteed plenty of variety.

Not so well connected but beautiful
I had visited the area from Grindelwald, which is in the Jungfrau Ski Pass area included. From Grindelwald it is quite a journey to the Schilthorn But it is worth it. Especially if you are a James Bond fan you will be thrilled at the Piz Gloria
