The Ski Resort
Lifjell Skisenter sits on Norway's southernmost high mountain plateau — a "Jotunheimen in miniature" with over 20 peaks above 1,100 metres. Just twelve kilometres from the town of Bø in Telemark, Lifjell is the closest high mountain for anyone arriving by ferry from Denmark to Larvik — from there, it is barely 90 kilometres, mostly on flat terrain. The alpine offering consists of the Ski Centre with four runs on the main lift and the separately located Vinterland, a dedicated area for children and beginners with a roughly 350-metre practice slope and its own platter lift.
The Lifjellparken terrain park features jumps, rails and pipes at various levels and is continuously being developed. Lifjell Skisenter is part of Telemark SuperSki — a network of eight ski areas in Telemark accessible with a shared lift pass.

Activities
The trail network around Lifjell encompasses 80 kilometres of groomed cross-country tracks. From the Jønnbu car park, four child-friendly loops of two to three kilometres set off, while more ambitious skiers can follow trails into open high-mountain terrain at 1,000 to 1,100 metres. When mountain weather turns rough, the sheltered Vihus trails in the forest five minutes away offer a good alternative. A special experience is the snowcat trip to Hollane Seter — a mountain farm nine kilometres from Jønnbu, where freshly baked waffles and hot soup await. Horse-drawn sleigh rides, ice skating and curling are also on offer.
