The Ski Resort
The Hoch-Imst ski area lies in the heart of Tyrol and is suitable for families. It boasts numerous offers for children such as free ski courses. Right next to the valley station you can find the perfect practice slope for beginners, which is also used by the ski schools, but there is also room for tobogganing, or simply sunbathing. Professionals will find the right slope in Hoch-Imst, too: The black downhill slope Pratz Bäum is a challenge even for very good winter sports enthusiasts.
Four lifts take skiers and snowboarders up the mountain in the Imst ski area. Two 10-person gondola lifts lead to the Untermarkter Alm and the Alpjoch. There is also the drag lift at Malchbach and a practice lift in the kids area.
Every Wednesday and Saturday you can not only ski down the slopes during the day, but also in the evening at floodlight. The lift to the Untermarkter Alm is open from 18.30 to 21.30. The illuminated descent is one of the longest in Tyrol.
The Funpark at the Malchbachlift has become a popular meeting place for young people. There's a public, beginner and pro line to make freestylers' hearts beat faster. 15 obstacles are waiting for the daring to plunge down the mountain with snowboards or skis.
