The Ski Resort
At Huaibei ski resort north of Bejing, you can ski against the backdrop of the Great Wall. Snow sports enthusiasts have seven runs with a total length of 3.8km/2.4mi at their disposal. With three blues, two reds, and two blacks, there is something for all skill levels. Three chair lifts and two t-bars get you up to the highest point at 1,200m/3,937ft above sea level.
Even if you're not much of a skier, you will not get bored at this resort. Huabei offers activities like archery, skidoo, or tobogganing. Snow-making facilities provide the necessary white during the season from early December to early March.

Huaibei Ski Resort is located in the north-east of China, 67km/41.6mi north of Bejing. You can get there by car via Jingcheng Expressway. Leave the road at exit 14, and follow Huidu road to National Highway No. 111. After Yanxi lake, continue 5km/3mi north to the ski resort.
Bus no. 919 goes from Dongzhimen coach station in Bejing to Huairou. From there, a taxi can take you to Huaibei.
