The Ski Resort
Grong Skisenter lies in the Indre Namdal in Trøndelag, on the E 6 midway between Trondheim and Mosjøen, and is the largest ski resort in the former Nord-Trøndelag. On the 872-metre Geitfjellet, 15 runs spread across terrain ranging from the 170-metre Barnebakken for the very youngest to the 1,900-metre Sirituvløypa. Four surface lifts serve the slopes. The black-graded Ekspert'n on the Ola lift challenges advanced skiers, while the red Super'n and the wide Familiebakken are ideal for intermediates and families.
The terrain park features a halfpipe, a quarterpipe, rails and a dedicated terrain course — an unusually comprehensive freestyle offering for the region. Grong is also a paradise for ski touring: from the Ola lift, cross-country trails lead across the Geitfjellet and on into the high mountains.
