The Ski Resort
The small but beautiful ski area Grainet is located in the middle of the Bavarian Forest at an altitude of 600 to 1,167 meters. Skiers and snowboarders are transported to the top by the 600 metre long double T-bar lift. If necessary, the piste can also be artificially snowed in, so that the winter pleasure does not have to be cancelled even if the snowfall is delayed.
The red marked ski slope is suitable for advanced skiers as well as for sporty skiers and snowboarders who want to practice a little before their winter holiday in larger ski areas or the Alps. In addition, the slope has an electronic timing system and is therefore also well suited for ski and club races.
On Wednesdays and Fridays there is the possibility for night skiing from 19 to 22 o'clock. Then the ski slope is illuminated by floodlights and the fun on the slopes is enhanced by musical entertainment.

On Mountain Dining
If you get hungry after a few downhill runs, you can stop at the "Skistüberl" at the valley station. Here food and drinks await skiers and snowboarders. After the fun on the slopes, the après-ski continues here. Another place to stop at the valley station is the "Gasthaus Jager-Hüttn". Here too, winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy a convivial get-together.
Grainet has a well-developed network of cross-country ski trails. The 17-kilometre-long Haidelloipe has connections to the cross-country ski trail network of the Haidel-Dreisessel region as well as to the well-known Bayerwald-Loipe.
The winter hiking trails through the snow-covered winter forest are also idyllic. The Haidel winter hiking trail leads from Grainet to the Haidel summit, where you can enjoy the unique view of the region and the Bavarian Forest from the observation tower. A hike through the Grainet "gold villages" is also worthwhile.
In addition, the village offers numerous other leisure activities such as horse-drawn sleigh rides, curling or tobogganing.
