Gol Storefjell Ski Resort

Storefjell Ski and Toboggan Centre sits on the Golsfjellet plateau in the Hallingdal region and belongs to the Storefjell Resort Hotel, run by the Nibstad family in the third generation since 1930. The family-friendly ski area offers eight runs of varying difficulty served by three surface lifts — the longest piste measures just under two kilometres. A dedicated terrain park with jumps and rails and a generous children's area with its own lift and two play and sledding zones make Storefjell a resort where even the youngest feel right at home.

A warming hut with a kiosk and toilets is located at the base station. For those looking to warm up after skiing, the Storefjell Resort Hotel has its own indoor water park with slides and warm water — the perfect complement to a day on the slopes.

A particular highlight is the separate toboggan run: from the top station, special sleds race 1.5 kilometres down into the valley — separate from the ski slopes and an experience for non-skiers too. Hotel guests have direct access to the ski area from their rooms.

From the ski centre, you have direct access to the Golsfjellet cross-country trail network with roughly 250 kilometres of groomed tracks. Barbecue huts along the trails invite a picnic stop. In winter, the hotel also offers Ice Drive on the frozen Tisleifjorden — a driving experience on ice in rally-prepared cars at over 900 metres. Two further ski areas lie nearby: Golsfjellet Alpinsenter Bualie and the Gol Skipark.

Ski and sled rental are located directly at the ski centre. The Storefjell Resort Hotel offers 300 rooms and 12 apartments with a total of around 650 beds. EV charging stations are available in the hotel car park.
