Gaberl Ski Resort

No more skiing, only the children’s slope remains open

After more than 50 years, skiing operations at the T-bar lifts on the Gaberl are to be permanently discontinued. As no new operator could be found in the summer of 2026, the decision was taken to sell the lift facility. The high financial costs, particularly those associated with the snow-making system, were no longer sustainable for the previous operator. 

The Gaberl Restaurant will remain open, as will the small lift at the children’s slope, so that beginners can continue to learn their first turns here. Cross-country skiing will also remain possible. 

The skiing area Gaberl is located between Graz and Judenburg directly at the B77.
