The Ski Resort
The Cerro Perito Moreno ski area is only 25 kilometers south of El Bolsón in the province of Rio Negro. It has around 12 kilometres of slopes, making it one of the smaller ski resorts in Argentina. At an altitude of between 915 metres and 1,750 metres, the slopes are mainly easy.
The ski area isn't as large as some others, but there is a wide range of winter sports to choose from. You can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, sledding or snowshoeing. Beginning skiers and snowboarders will especially enjoy the area. Ski rentals are available. There are a total of four restaurants and two additional restrooms in the area. There are also three stations with free WiFi.
The slopes are mostly flat and are classified as easy. Besides two chairlifts, there is only a rope lift, a drag lift, and a magic carpet. This makes the area particularly suitable for families. The ski school offers courses and a children's area. On weekends, there are often events with loud music, cartoon characters and sweets that are fun for both children and adults. The "Camino Panoramico" slope, classified as easy, is highly recommended. It continues through the forest past two viewpoints. It offers a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside.
