The Ski Resort

Tourismus © Brandnertal Tourismus, Alex Kaiser
Brandnertal ski resort covers 55 kilometer (34 miles) skiable terrain and is serviced by 14 lifts. By featuring mostly blue and red trails it´s a great destination for families, beginners and people re-entering the world of skiing and riding. The idyllic surrounding is another plus.

Start of by riding up the mountain Bürserberg and hit the trail towards Loischkopf. Also check out the slopes right next to the Einhornbahn. Those are like an invitation for carving  (No. 20, 21 and 22). If you consider yourself among beginners, grab the Tschenglailift and after follow signage for the slopes at Loischkopf (1860 meter= 6102 ft) to find your personal challenges. The black marked run along the Loischbahn pleases even the most courageous skiers and riders. An other descend trail takes you from Loischkopf to the area of Brand.

You can also access the ski resort by taking one of the modern 8 seater gondolas Dorfbahn or Palüdbahn. The Dorfbahn takes you to Parpfienz (1390 meter =4560 ft) where you can either switch into the Panoramabahn that brings you to the slopes in Bürserberg or you can decide to explore the trails that are situated around Gulma (1800 meter=5905 ft). Here you can hit the new permanent FIS race slope that is actually free of charge. The Dorfbahn takes you to the terrain park Backyards. The exquisite location and 30 obstacles speak for itself. Following the motto: ´sky is the limit´ you can go even higher by riding the Glatthjochbahn to the highest point with a drop of 2000 meters (6561 ft). Here, a great run lies in front of you that will take you right through the Lorenzital. Little visitors can check out the kids paradise that is in the center of the valley and always covered in artificial snow. Children from age four and up are welcome.
