The Ski Resort
The 1 kilometre long piste in Altreichenau is particularly suitable for beginners. At the Bureiberg in Altreichenau you can learn the basics of skiing at one of the local ski schools. The winter sports area in the Bavarian Forest lies at an altitude of 700 to 800 metres. It is possible that the lift at the Bureiberg will be closed at midday.
The next larger ski area is the Hochficht ski area in Upper Austria.

- Snow coverage is usually best during February, offering an average snow depth of 193 cm at summit elevation and 15 cm at the base.

The cross-country skiing area Altreichenau - Neureichenau - Lackenhäuser is located in the immediate vicinity of the ski lift.
Getting here
You reach Altreichenau from the direction of Passau via the B12. Take the exit towards Waldkirchen/Steinerleinbach/Deching/Ernsting and turn right towards Waldkirchen. At Jandelsbrunn turn left into the village and follow the main road until you reach the village of Jandelsbrunn, where you turn left into Dreisesselstraße. At the crossroads turn left towards Altreichenau. Parking is available at the ski lift.
