The Cross-Country Area
The Pastorenwiese is situated between Wunderthausen and Hallenberg. The starting point of the four trails is the ski hut of the SK Wunderthausen. Cross-country skiers of all skill levels will find classically groomed cross-country trails and a skating trail here. Beginners enjoy the view over the upper Elsoff valley on the relatively flat Heiskopf cross-country ski run, while advanced cross-country skiers choose the Hasselrücken cross-country ski run. Sporty runners can take the 8.7 km long Ziegenhellen cross-country ski run, which leads to the observation tower on the Ziegenhelle. There is also a connection to the Hombergloipe (Züschen) and to the ski tour to Mollseifen.
On weekends the rustic ski hut is open from 10.00 to 17.00 hrs. The ski school also offers taster courses on Saturdays and Sundays for beginners and advanced skiers (classic and skating). If you don't have your own equipment, you can rent skis, poles and boots on the spot.
The cross-country skiing centre Pastorenwiese belongs to the Nordic Sport Arena Sauerland. That's why your day or season ticket gives you access to more than 500 kilometres of cross-country ski runs.

Getting Here
From Marburg take the B3 to Cölbe and then turn onto the B62 towards Frankenberg. After approx. 3 km you continue on the B252 to Münchhausen. Turn left here onto the B236, which leads via Battenberg to Hallenberg. In Hallenberg turn left towards Wunderthausen. Halfway (after approx. 6 km) turn right to Pastorenwiese. There is a parking lot at the ski hut.
