The Cross-Country Area
The Skiverein Stegskopf Emmerzhausen e.V. always endeavours to provide you with the best possible cross-country ski runs. The preparation is complex, cost-intensive and is done on a voluntary basis - as is the catering for the hut. With appropriate snow conditions, cross-country trails of approx. 3 kilometres, 5 kilometres up to a length of 6.8 kilometres around the ski hut are prepared or rolled with a cross-country track device. For the small and big toboggan fans there is a toboggan run directly at the ski hut. Of course you can also rent cross-country skis on the opening days of the ski hut. Various sizes of cross-country ski boots are available.

Interesting facts
- The highest point of the track is 561 m above sea level.
- Snow coverage is usually best during November, offering an average snow depth of 16 cm at summit elevation and 11 cm at the base.

The club's own ski hut is situated at an altitude of 534 m. It was built in 1977 to replace the Siegfriedhütte on the "Stirnskopf". Up to 45 persons can be accommodated here. A picturesque idyll only found here. An ideal place for celebrations of all kinds, be it a birthday, an anniversary, a hike or a Christmas party. The opening hours of the ski hut can be found in the calendar on the homepage.
It is regularly open and served every third Sunday of the month from 09:30 to 18:00. On snow weekends additional opening days are added.

Parking spaces:
- Parking at the L 280 (exit right in the direction of Lippe)
- directly at the ski hut, if access is possible
- at the entrance to the bridgehead
