The Ski Resort
The ski resort Maiskogel in the region Zell at See-Kaprun offers skiers and snowboarders winter sport pleasure on 20 kilometers ranging from beginner to expert runs. To warm up, check out the training trails at Maislift, which feature 14 kilometer blues. Here you can work on your skills, away from the hussle and action that you´ll find at the more advanced runs. While the five red kilometer and one kilometer black are enjoyable runs for intermediates, beginners really should steer clear. Three lifts guarantee an comfortable way up to the well-groomed skiable terrain.
An outstanding highlight for little adventurer is the Maisi-Phantasiepark with waves, curves and kid-friendly jumps. If your child is totally new to the world of skiing and riding- no problem! The instructors, accompanied by Maisi snowman will help your kids to find their ski leg fast and create a passion for skiing.
Right next to Maiskogel the ski resort Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See is at home. The glacier ski resort Kitzsteinhorn in Kaprun also invites for enjoyable carving and is easy accessible.

The Alpengasthaus Glocknerblick convinces with the traditional hut and an amazing 360 degrees panorama view. Culinary delights coming 100 percent from organic agriculture serves the Jausenstation Unteraigen. The signature special are home-distilled liquors. Right next to the Alps rollercoaster you´ll see the Maisalm that is the best hangout for lunch time. The Maiskogelalm Ranch is for everyone who appreciates a great barbecue. Your food here comes always with amazing live-music and a special atmosphere. The Saulochalm on the other hand invites guests with Pinzgauer specialties and pastries which are so common in this area. Absolute rookies as well as up-and-coming stars find everything they need for cool tricks and outrageous moves in this snowpark: including kickers, waves and rails. And every day, the park is maintained in tip-top condition by our experienced shapers. Based on the snow conditions, we are constantly coming up with brand-new obstacles so as to offer our regular guests whole new jump opportunities. In our Fantasy Park, there truly are no limits to your freestyle imagination. Incidentally, entrance to the park is free of charge.

Alpine Coaster Maisiflitzer (open all year round, including in winter)
Spine-tingling excitement through and through – the first alpine coaster in the province of Salzburg.
Running on tracks, these two-seaters race towards the valley below at speeds as high as 40 km/h. For added excitement the track features built-in waves, jumps and five loops. The start and finish of the coaster are located right next to the new Mono-cable gondola “MK Maiskogelbahn” in the centre of Kaprun.

Après-Ski and Nightlife
Eisbär-bar, conveniently located at the trail, is perfect for an After-Hour drink. Hardcore partying continues in the nightclub Baumbar in Kaprun.
By car: From Salzburg it´s just about 85 kilometers to Maiskogel. Take the B20 to Bad Reichenhall and exit at Inzell/Karlstein/Kasernea and turn onto St2101. When you get to Schneizlreuth, change onto B178 and continue to Lofer. From there, follow B311 via Saalfelden until you see signs for Maiskogel. Coming from Munich, you have to expect a 170 kilometer ride. Take the A8 to the intersection 101 and follow signs to Brenner/Innsbruck/ Kufstein/Österreich. Pass Oberaudorf, Durchholzen, Erpfendorf, Lofer and Saalfelden until you get to the parking lot in the resort that are free of charge.
By Public Transportation: It´s also an option to take Public Transportation to the ski resort. The next airport is Salzburg and about 100 kilometers away from Maiskogel. You can take the train to Zell am See, which is about 8,5 kilometeres outside the ski resort. In the resort, you can use the free ski bus with a valid ski pass.
