Not quite as noble as Aspen, and maybe a little louder!
Good apres ski is difficult to find in the US. In the course of our tests, those resorts most popular amongst Europeans (such as Vail and Aspen) have, however, proved to be notable exceptions. And now, with Telluride, we have yet another American ski resort that we can wholeheartedly recommend to you post lift-close night life fans. If you want to include a bit of German flair and, of course, German beer, in your escapades, try the beer garden at the Hop Garden restaurant in Mountain Village at the base of the Village Express. For a more authentic experience, there's the Gorrono Ranch restaurant off the Misty Maiden trail, with a bar, live music and an open fire pit to warm guests on the sun terrace. After lift close, Main Street (and West Colorado Ave.) in Telluride turns into the place to be for night owls. Catch a movie at the Nugget Theater and then have a drink at one of the nearby pubs or bars – the New Sheridan for a more upscale experience, one of the others for a game of billiards or darts.
