Product Summary
The ski in details
The Edge FT is a versatile and lightweight Freetour Ski with waist widths of 92, 94 and 96 mm.
The Vario concept promises a new skiing experience. The ski width is dependent on the length of the ski. The longer the ski, the wider it is and thus it also has more surface contact area. This means you get better float and higher stability. Along with the Polywall, which protects your ski from impacts, another featured highlight will also excite you: The new, unique topsheet treatment is a real head-turner. At the same time, it ensures less snow will stick to your ski.
Technologies
Rocker
The longer bend at the tip and tail of the ski is known as rocker technology. With us, these are specially adapted depending on the type of ski. Typically, the longer and higher the rocker, the more lift is generated and the more playful and maneuverable the ski becomes.
- Better lift in powder snow
- Power saving
- The ski turns more easily on the piste
- Easier edging of the ski
Light Core & Super Light Core
In the all-mountain, freeride and touring sector, special light European wood species are used. This makes the core a little softer and more supple, which gives the ski dynamism and makes it very durable.
- Weight saving due to very light cores
- dynamic skiing characteristics
- very durable
Thin Glass Laminate
This fiberglass laminate is 25% lighter than the conventional laminate. Thanks to the optimized material composition, the stiffness of the fiberglass and therefore the ski's handling characteristics have been retained.
- Weight saving with the same flex
Polywall
This side panel is slightly softer and therefore more elastic than the phenolic side panel. It has damping properties and therefore has a significantly higher impact resistance.
- High resistance
- High impact resistance
- cushioning properties
Touring Tail
Special milling at the ski tail for our touring skis to make it easier to attach the touring skins. The end hook of the skins is additionally protected by the milled end protection. Very practical when it's cold or you need to be quick. This milling also makes the end of the ski a little softer and smoother.
- Secure hold of the touring skins
- Weight saving
- Softer torsion at the end of the ski
Touring Super Light Edges
The special touring ski edges are less wide and less high than conventional alpine edges
- Weight saving (up to 25% lighter than SME light)
Tail rocker
Bending up of the ski tail: flat radius and long bend.
- Playful ski thanks to the increased length of the tail rocker
- Optimum edge grip when edged up thanks to the flat radius of the ski ends
Freeride Tip Technology
Light and stiff insert material at the tip of the ski makes the shovel more stable and smoother. With the lightweight Freeride Tip material, even more lift can be generated in deep snow.
- Better lift with lower swing weight and a more stable shovel
- Easy, effortless skiing in all snow conditions
Vario Side Cut
The width of the ski depends on the length of the ski. The longer the ski, the wider it is and the more contact surface is created. This makes it possible to find a good ratio between the height and weight of the skier and the width, and therefore also the weight, of the ski.
- The same ratio of center width to ski length for every length
- The shape and width of the ski is adapted to the skier's physical characteristics
Titanal Technology EVO
Special powder coating on the Titanal surface of the touring skis, inspired by the water-repellent lotus flower.
- Reduces snow accumulation on the ski surface
- More resistant to scratches
- Pleasant touch
- Weight reduction as the design is printed directly onto the Titanal
