Modern Lift System and great slopes

The service offer in the Sölden ski area is consistently good. One rarely loses the overview, there are enough information boards. Particular importance is attached to the modernity of the lifts. In recent years, a lot has been invested in the renewal or replacement of old equipment. The chairlifts are mostly up to date and designed for four, six or eight people. A special highlight is the 3-cable gondola lift to the 3,040-meter-high Gaislachkogl. From the valley, modern gondola lifts take you to the ski area. Because Sölden is so popular, there are nevertheless waiting times here in the peak season.

The slopes are freshly prepared every night, and due to the altitude and the artificial snow systems, the slopes are in top condition in the morning. Almost everywhere in the village you can find a ski rental. At the valley stations there are several possibilities to rent skis or snowboards. One advantage is that there are also rental stations in the ski area, for example at the Giggijoch. If you don't get along with the rented equipment, you can also change on the mountain and don't have to go back to the valley. At the Rettenbach glacier there is even a large test center where the best-known ski brands such as Atomic, Salomon or Head are represented.

Hotspots are available at the stations of the Gaislachkogl and Giggijochbahn lifts and in some mountain restaurants, where you can log in to the Wi-Fi free of charge.

There are sufficient parking facilities. At both valley stations of the Giggijochbahn and the Gaislachkogelbahn there is a large parking garage. During the glacier season, there are also many parking facilities on the Rettenbach and Tiefenbach glaciers in the immediate vicinity of the slopes.

The signposting is very good, every slope is excellent with number and also limited to the side, so you never get off the piste. With many lift exits there are piste plans, but also again and again... Read complete review
