All around the high peak Chopok, Jasná Nízke Tatry opens up around 50km of slopes to keen wintersports enthusiasts. Chopok is the third highest peak in the lower Tatra, with ski runs going higher than 2,000m.

From the mountain's crest, runs go down to the south as well as the north side. Four different car parks allow for access to the mountain from various sides. A good starting point for ski novices is in Biela Púť, as this is where you will find the shorter runs Biela Púť (#13) and Otupné (#7). Once you found your groove, you can then move on to the longer blues, like Lúcky (#14) or Turistická (#5). Meanwhile, the youngest skiers have a blast in the two Maxilands (near Biela Púť and Lúcky).

Experienced sportsmen tackle the reds on the north side. They usually lead through the forest, but only on high ground are they above treeline. With the runs Konský Grún - Rovná Hola (#11a) and Rovná Hola- Záhradky (#11) you can even find two FIS runs. This area of the resort also boasts three black funs for experts, with Majstrovská (#7) being the longest. Furthermore, there is a terrain park and a fun zone near gondola Grand-Brhliská.

Gondola Priehyba - Chopok gets skiers to Rotunda Restaurant, which marks the junction to the slopes of Bystrianská valley. At the upper part of the southern slopes you will mainly find difficult runs. If you don't feel up for that, take gondola Kosodrevina - Chopok valleybound, to get to the easier slopes. The blue run Panorama Chopok (#34c) leads to Kosodrevina station. Alternatively, you can start from the base - there are two car parks on this side of the mountain. Below treeline you can find reds like Slecná (#31) or Krupová (#36). Beginners starting on this side only find one blue run (Panoráma - #34) as well as another Maxiland for children.

Besides the groomed ski runs, the resort also features eight backcountry zones, that can be comfortably accessed with lifts. Freestylers can go wild at the terrain park, the oldest in Slovakia.
