Bad Gastein scores in the intermediate skiers and family category!

A first glance at the trail map reveals whether skiers and riders will feel comfortable at Bad Gastein. The abundance of intermediate level terrain marked (red) will immediately catch your eye! And also the lift facilities are anything but a let down. State of the art they guarantee a comfortable and quick ascent. Also novice skiers get their moneys worth. There is plenty of easy terrain guaranteeing that beginners aren’t confined to only a few trails but can explore the entire ski resort without taking risks. The wonderful beginners area in the Angertal Skizentrum featuring magic carpet lifts and beginner lifts guarantees total new comers to snow-sports a safe and convenient introduction. Especially families and small children profit from the novice features. The Kaserebenbahn as well as the Angertalbahn guarantee an easy transfer to gentle terrain up on the mountain. However expert skiers might find this ski resort rather boring. There is only one difficult slope (black) to be found in the ski resort. Riders and air and style fans of novice or intermediate level have an excellent terrain park at their disposal. However the resort lacks a half pipe as well as big jumps for those in need of some long air time. Bad Gastein scores in the après ski department. Cosy rustic lodges in proximity to the bases provide fun moments also after the lifts close. All in all Bad Gastein is a versatile ski resort and definitely a very nice holiday destination!

      No slope preparation
The infrastructure is great, but the slopes are not necessarily for beginners, especially if they are not groomed.

Bad Gastein skiing for experienced skiers only
Expensive ski resort with blue slopes which are more like red than anything. Unless you are an experienced skier you are stuck on very limited ski slope space. You can only use 2 magic carpets, 1 c... Read complete review

Top ski resort because there is something for everyone!
The slopes are beautiful and you have many great views. You also have over 1400 meters of elevation gain. There is very good food at the huts! There are also some nice freeride routes!

Cosy ambience in front of a dreamlike backdrop.
In conclusion, it is only to say that in bad Hofgastein every winter sports fan is fully at his expense. From beginner to professional, the pistes invite you to forget your everyday life and to ind... Read complete review
