WINTER PARK RESORT NOW OFFERING iPHONE APPLICATION

Winter Park, COLO.—January 28, 2011—iPhone users can now keep themselves updated on a variety of Winter Park activities thanks to the resort’s new iPhone application (app) developed by Treeline Interactive, Resorts Interactive and Winter Park Resort. With the 2011 SIA On-Snow Demo/Ski-Ride Fest starting Monday, January 31, the Winter Park Resort: TrailTap app will be a great tool for both snow sport industry users and the skiing public to gain access to live weather updates and current deals and events occurring around the resort.

Winter Park Resort Mobile version 1.0 is now available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. Version 1.1 with GPS functionality and Android versions are in progress and will be available shortly. The GPS enabled interactive trail map will allow guests to navigate their way around the resort and comes complete with a daily grooming report.  Avid mountain goers can connect with other skiers and riders to meet on the mountain and upload videos, location status or photos from their Facebook or Twitter accounts.

“We are thrilled to launch the app in the midst of this week’s SIA Snow Show in Denver and make it available to all of the SIA On-Snow participants coming to Winter Park next week,” said Winter Park’s new media manager Tana Hoffman.  “We are always looking for ways to expand the guest experience and this new interactive app is the perfect way to stay connected.”

The app has an informative snow report with daily detailed conditions on the mountain and a lift and trail status report. It also provides a trail map which shows resort trails, including the level of difficulty, something that will come in handy for those who are new to the mountain.

iPhone users can download the app through their iPhone or online at http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/winter-park-resort-trailtap/id413490167?mt=8.

Guests can also visit the Winter Park Website for more information on the app at http://www.winterparkresort.com/mobile/app.htm
