Davos, 2010- Destination Davos Klosters is starting the next winter season with a surprise. In the early season, hotel guests will receive the gift of a Davos Klosters Mountains Skipass for every overnight stay.
The campaign is intended to attract more early-season guests to Davos Klosters and thus better utilize the mountain transport facilities and hotels. Marika Zanoletti, Marketing Manager at Davos Klosters Mountains sums up the strategy thus: “We also want to give our guests positive and exhilarating experiences at the beginning of the season so that they come back to us again. All hotels in the destination can take part in the “Skipass Gift” campaign if they are open during the entire period (Davos hotels from 26.11. to 19.12 and Klosters hotels from at least 3.12. to 19.12.) and agree the cooperation with Davos Klosters Mountains (DKM). In return, the DKM will provide a guarantee of snow for Jakobshorn and the Parsenn region. At the beginning of winter, the mountain rail & cableways and the DDO will co-launch a publicity campaign in the Swiss Mittelland and southern Germany. The partner hotels will inform regular guests of the “Skipass Gift” offer directly with flyers and mailings.” Up to date 26 hotels at Davos and 13 hotels at Klosters support and participate to the campaign.

The idea for the winter campaign “Skipass Gift” has come from positive experiences with the Davos Klosters Inclusive summer offer. “We got together and discussed how on this basis we could prepare a unique offer for the winter launch,” said Reto Branschi, Director of the Davos Destinations Organisation. “Such special offers are only possible thanks to close and excellent teamwork between us, Davos Klosters Mountains and the hotels in Davos and Klosters.” Davos Klosters is opening the skiing resort as one of the first region in Switzerland.
