Raich wins slalom in Bad Kleinkirchheim

Benjamin Raich won his first race of the season on Sunday when he celebrated his 30th World Cup win in Bad Kleinkirchheim. After two great runs Raich beat Sweden’s Jens Byggmark with Italy’s Manfred Moelgg racing again on the podium as third.

Thaler with the best final run
Behind Moelgg, two other Italian racer were in good shape. Patrick Thaler was 29th after the first run but put down an excellent and the fastest run in the final to finish 4th with Deville coming in as 5th. Reinfried Herbst was in 6th place ahaed of Croatia’s Ivica Kostelic.
