created on Feb 27, 2008
Italian skier Denise Karbon keeps on skiing in a class of her own in giant slalom this season. The 27 years old athlete from Castelrotto also won the forth race in a row in Spindleruv Mlyn. Behind her Tanja Poutiainen from Finland and Austrian Elisabeth Goergl followed her on the podium.

Italians and Austrians strong in giant slalom
Further Austrians, Kathrin Zettel and Nicole Hosp, made it to the places four and five. That was enough for Hosp to remain in front in the overall World Cup standings so far. All in all also the Italian ski ladies scored a great team result with Nicole Gius on six and Manuela Moelgg on nine.
